INNF Judges Successful Second Annual SEED 8th Grade Science Fair
Washington, DC - The INNF provided volunteers for individualized hands-on assistance in science fair project development and execution. In addition to INNF staff, scientists from Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Adlyfe Inc., Children's Hospital, Finnegan Law Firm and other volunteers spent several evenings supporting 8th grade students as they explored a variety of topics ranging from the impact of nutrients on plant growth to the physics of basketball. On April 24, 2010, more than 10 volunteer judges from the above organizations reviewed the projects and selected the best projects in each category and, in addition, chose the favorite project of all the judges. Winners included: Victoria Akosile; Frank Makle; Cierra Graham; Alexis Galloway; Dwayne Phifer; Darcia Brown; Makayla Head; Jawuan Moore-Bey; D'Jahne Berry; Remi Jones; Miketif Celey; Latisha Minger; and Daa'Jah Wallace.
